WEDO Comments on CEDAW Committee’s Crucial Role

UN Climate Change Conference (COP 15) in Copenhagen

Months of preparations will culminate in this critical meeting on climate change that will determine the world’s course of action on climate change post 2012. WEDO and partners have been working to ensure that negotiators understand that women must be contributors to and beneficiaries of equitable climate solutions.  Incorporating a gender perspective in all climate change policies, projects and funds is crucial to successful climate change adaptation and mitigation.
