WEDO staff members, as well as representatives from organizations, major groups and governments from across the globe, are headed to Rio de Janerio, Brazil this week for the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD), or Rio+20, taking place on 20-22 June, 2012, with the Third PrepComm commencing on June 13th. Celebration of Women’s Leadership at Rio+20
[ June 20, 2012; 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. ] This celebration will be in memory of Marie Khan of the CBD Secretariat. We will award 10 women leaders for their leadership roles over the last 10 years. Awardees will represent diverse regions as well as levels of engagement, bringing voices together from the grassroots and highest national and international political levels.
