Establishing a set of global norms and standards by which all corporations must abide by is the key to stopping corporate abuse of women’s rights, livelihoods and the environment.
WEDO, together with a growing alliance—including the ESCR-Net Corporate Accountability Working Group —is laying the groundwork for national and global campaigns that will strengthen and create the policy and governmental structures needed for corporate accountability.
WEDO brings a woman’s voice to this alliance by making sure that a gender perspective is an intrinsic part of the corporate accountability effort.
