2009-2010 Stats on Women’s Participation at the UNFCCC
The following numbers reflect the current breakdown of participation of men and women delegates in the UNFCCC negotiations from Bangkok in 2009 to COP16, Cancun in 2010. [Numbers for COP16 are from the provisional participants list]
Updating Session for UNFCCC Government Delegates: “Developing Gender-sensitive National Implementation Strategies for Climate Change”
Cancun, Mexico– On Saturday, November 27th, sixty government delegates, representing twenty-nine countries from all regions of the world participated in the updating session on new dimensions of gender and climate change in Cancun, Mexico. This session was an initiative of the GGCA (Global Gender and Climate Alliance).

WEDO heads to China for the next meeting of the UNFCCC
[ October 4, 2010 to October 9, 2010. October 4, 2010 to October 9, 2010. ] Tianjin, China — From Monday, 4 to Saturday, 9 October 2010, WEDO will attend the UNFCCC climate change negotiations in Tianjin, China. This is the final meeting before the COP16 in Mexico and WEDO, as part of the Global Gender and Climate Alliance (GGCA) will be facilitating an advocacy team to ensure that gender references remain in the negotiating text.
