In Nepal, WEDO works with the South Asia Campaign for Gender Equality (SACGE/SAATHAI), a GEAR Campaign focal point, to gain support for a new Women’s entity at the UN.

In the Philippines, WEDO works with the Asia Pacific Women’s Watch, the GEAR Campaign focal point for that region, to mobilize support for a new Women’s entity at the UN.
In the Philippines, WEDO partnered with Athena Peralta on the case study Gender and Climate Change Finance: A Case Study from the Philippines which was launched at the UN Climate Change in December 2008 in Poznan, Poland.
WEDO works with the Center for Women in Asia Pacific Politics (CAPWIP)to promote women in decision-making positions. In October 2008, WEDO partnered with CAPWIP on the Third Global Congress on Women in Politics in the Philippines, helping to draft the outcome document on gender and climate change entitled the Manila Declaration.
