New! Training Manual on Gender and Climate Change

New York, July 20–As part of the effort to foster gender sensitive climate change policy-making, the Global Gender and Climate Alliance (GGCA) launched a Gender and Climate Change Training Manual at the UNFCCC conference (COP-14) in Poznan, Poland, last December, and held an orientation for Party delegations.

 
The training manual is now available and can be downloaded from the IUCN website. The GGCA, of which WEDO is a member, will hold additional training orientations on the gender dimensions of climate change throughout the year, and in preparation for each major UNFCCC meeting.

One UN Project

New York, June 25–As discussions intensify on UN reform at the UN Headquarters in NY, WEDO is closely following the “One UN,” or “Delivering as One” reform processes at the national level. WEDO’s Gender and Governance staff just returned from a vibrant and inspiring meeting in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
