The Global Gender and Climate Alliance (GGCA) calls governments and international organizations to urgent action, to commit to an outcome agreement this year, and to include human security and social components—particularly gender. This Call to Action was disseminated at this year’s 53rd Session of the Commission on the Status of Women.

Read WEDO’s submission on behalf of the Global Gender and Climate Alliance (GGCA) at the first of six scheduled climate change negotiatiating sessions that was held in Bonn, Germany earlier this month. The session was part of of the lead up to the International Climate Change conference to be held in Copenhagen, Denmark later this year.

Climate change is an established scientific fact. Humans contribute with our rising output of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide and other products of fossil fuel consumption.
