Enhancing Engagement of Civil Society within the UNFCCC Process

New York — At the COP15 in Copenhagen, civil society participation in the UNFCCC process was severely limited by a great lack of transparency and organizational preparation. Many organizations, including WEDO and the other members of the Women and Gender Constituency called out for a review of the process to ensure that these mistakes will not be repeated in the future.

Women and Gender Constituency Active at Bonn Climate Negotiations

    Joint Civil Society Statement at Climate Change Negotiations

    Bonn, Germany, June 4, 2010 — WEDO, as part of the Women and Gender Constituency at the UNFCCC, submitted a joint intervention regarding civil society participation in the United Nations Climate Change conferences.
