EU GEAR Funding and Governance Paper

New York, June 9–This paper examines budgets, staff levels, offices and the European Union Member State contributors to the four existing UN gender equality and women’s empowerment entities (UNIFEM,DAW, OSAGI, and INSTRAW) and five other UN entities (UNICEF, UNDP, UNFPA, UN-HABITAT and UNAIDS), to help assess and support the most effective arrangements for a new, “composite” UN women’s organization.
