Given the focus of the 57th CSW on violence against women and girls, this side event will examine the  various forms of violence resulting from unsustainable development and related environmental  degradation. Speakers will share experiences of violations against women’s human rights in contexts  of land grabbing, mining, nuclear contamination, and disasters, and propose measures to achieve  sustainable development and eliminate violence against women.
